2. My magazine represents a range of social groups as I wanted it to be as versatile as possible. I tried my best to reach out to both genders as k-pop is liked by both males and females. I didn't want to generalise it because I wanted my magazine to have a varied audience so I could broaden the content and relate both to male and female fans. To do this I made the language applicable to both genders. In my double page spread article instead of just reviewing all male artists I added a review on HyunA's Melting which would bring the attention of the male fans as it is known that she is on of the most favourited females in the K-Pop industry so I added something that would be like by the majority of people. I also used a lot of diverse features inside my magazine one of them being apage in which you can learn the dances. Both males and females enjoy dance and learning it too so it applies again to both genders. I think you could say too that my magazine can focus on those who wish to be musicians in South Korea as I inform them of life in South Korea and what it's like to be an idol there as well as how to audition at the music companies such as SM, YG and JYP. Also because I include interviews with idols such as Jay Park,
who originates from America it shows that aspiring musicians are able to go to South Korea and start a career in that field just like he did.
3. I think 유빈시스템 (Ubinsystem) would be the best publishing company to use for my magazine because it is based in Seoul in South Korea it will be up to date on all recent events in the K-Pop industry so with them I can validate the news I am putting in my magazine so it's authentic so international fans are getting correct information on their idols.
Places my magazine will be distubuted are;
- Local supermarkets (ASDA, Tesco, Morrisons, etc)
- Music Stores (Such as HMV)
- Pre-existing K-Pop stores around England
- A digital copy will be sold on iTunes so people worldwide can read the magazine
- My magazine will also be available at K-Pop events that are held in the UK (Such as concerts, festivals, parties, as well as the upcoming Teen Top concert in London)

Front Cover
For the front cover I think the many of the
choices I made influenced the readers. To start with I think the fact I changed
the colours of important words in some of the cover lines such as ‘mysterious’
in the YG one and ‘Yummy’ in the Hyuna one drew readers into my magazine
because they focused on those aspects. I think the boldness of the masthead was
the biggest influence on the front cover as it is the first thing that is seen
so it was noticed. This would have linked with the fonts I choice as they
helped in making the masthead stand out. I think as well because my layout was
kind of simple it made it easier on the eye to the readers so they didn’t have
to spend time reader what content was included.
However, from the audience feedback I know
I could improve on spacing and legibility on the front cover as it did look
slightly bare and parts weren’t as clear as I had hoped.
Contents Page
On the contents page the biggest influence
on the readers I think were the features of it being a first edition. I think I
was able to make it clear to the readers on the contents page that it was
indeed the first edition. Other things that I think influenced the readers were
the colours I used especially the yellow words I included to inform the readers
of important information such as competitions and the free app. I think my
layout worked for the readers too, the way I split it into sections and the
most important things were boxed off such as the first edition specials, the
competitions and the images with articles.
On the contents page I could have improved
on adding articles about it being first edition as well as spacing things out
slightly so it doesn’t look as full.
Double Page Spread
I think my double page spread influenced
readers the most with the set colour scheme of red that I used on the main
image as well as the album of the year. The fact that I slightly up the article
made it easier and more fun to read for the people and the fact I added the
prices and where to buy the albums I reviewed seemed really helpful to the
readers. I also think the choice of fonts influenced the readers because it
made everything clear to the and easier to read so they stayed engaged into
what I had to say about each album.
If anything let me down it would have been
the size of the images showing the albums because it felt as if the readers
couldn’t really visualize what I was reviewing so next time I would definitely
make them clearer.
